I hope you all had a mighty fine weekend! I must say I am completely exhausted. We had far too much fun celebrating this weekend, strangely none of which had much to do with the holidays. Good thing I get to sit at the photo studio and retouch photos all day. I don't think I could manage much else.

Green seems to be "the" color this fall. I am seeing it everywhere and in every shade. I have always loved green because I think it suits my fair skin and dark hair, but there is a shade out there for everyone. My favorite top right now is an emerald colored Vena Cava I got on Gilt. I can't stop wearing it! I've been pairing it with a orangy-red lip and black high-waisted trousers. I'll make sure to photograph it for the blog soon. I am having a bit of a loafer moment. I can't tell you how happy I am they are having a resurgence despite their somewhat nerdy reputation. I am always thrilled to find fashionable and different ways to wear flats. I also had a pair of penny loafers when I was 10 that I was obsessed with so maybe I'm just a tad sentimental.

FALL FOOTWEAR


I think fall is the most fun shoe season. Ankle boots, over the knee boots, clogs and Victorian style lace ups are all on trend for this fall. Here is some fall footwear that caught my eye, and nothing is over $200!..






I AM LOVING MY...

I frantically looked for a dress for Las Vegas yesterday with no such luck. Why is it, when you have something specific to buy it is nowhere to be found? Well that's not totally true, I found the perfect dress, but it was $400. Yeah. Not. Happening. 
Ah well, I am determined to make something in my closet work. I did however have incredible shoe luck! Shoes are usually hard for me, I have chubby feet (that look like a 6 year olds) and most cute shoes just don't fit. Yesterday was my day because I found two pairs of shoes that were exactly what I have been looking for and actually fit my feet. A brown wedge and a sexy black heel. To make things better, they were both on sale, score! So I had to share...

MARTHA'S VINEYARD STYLE. FASHION

Hope you all had a lovely 4th of July! I'm on Martha's Vineyard and it is so lush and gorgeous. The weather has been perfect. When I am on the island I can't help but notice the preppy New England look, the J Crew catalog look-a-like, I sail and play lacrosse in my free time, salmon pink wearing style. At least half the Island dresses that way and I must say, I kind of love it. You never see that in Los Angeles. The other half of the Island is a mixture of styles, a little hippie, a little Jackie O. and a little sporty.
