Happy Monday! I'm headed to New York City in less than a month to celebrate a very big birthday, so I've been searching for both chic and comfortable flats. You can never have too many of those, right? Even if I go out in heels in New York I've learned to always bring a pair of flats in my purse, just incase. 


How was your weekend? Mine was super low-key, but lovely. I spent most of it cooking at home, catching up on work and watching the olympics. I'm not much into sports but I do love the summer olympics. Don't you?

Happy Monday! This trip is flying by so fast and I am trying to take in every minute. Luckily the clouds have disappeared just long enough for a beach day and we are taking full advantage. A friend is visiting us for a few days and we've had so much fun showing him this wonderful island. Tonight we are taking him to our favorite Vineyard restaurant, State Road. How was your weekend?

I just added that Oar Server to my little collection of pretty wooden boards. I use them all the time for cheese plates or to serve appetizers. They add a relaxed, rustic vibe to any get together, which I love. 

How was your weekend? Mine was so lovely. James and I had an impromptu dinner and a movie date night, which was insanely fun. When you live with your boyfriend it's nice to throw on some heels every once and a while and go on a proper date, don't ya think? I also did something quite frightening...I cut my hair. I have had practically the same hair cut for eight years and suddenly felt like I should mix things up. I don't know if I love it or hate it, but it felt good to let go {this was my inspiration photo}. I promise pictures coming soon!

Happy Monday! While most of my 4th of July was wonderful, one very sad thing happened- my beloved bicycle Pepper was stolen. Pepper was the subject of many an instagram photo and even these sweet style photos. She will be missed. Since I am now bike-less, I've been searching for one perfect enough to take her place. These are slightly out of my price range, but a girl can dream right?

Since the 4th of July is only a few days away I had to do an American inspired Sweet Sweeter Sweetest. Usually I spend the 4th with my family in Martha's Vineyard, but this year James and I decided to go later in the month when things slow down slightly. This year we're going to be very American, and see a baseball game with friends to celebrate. I hear they put on quite a fun fireworks show that I am seriously looking forward to, along with cold beers and spending time with some of my favorite people. What are your plans? Do you have a yearly Independence Day tradition, or do you mix it up each year?

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Our camping trip was so much fun. Lake Berryessa is such a beautiful place and I have lots of photos to share with you. We got back yesterday afternoon and the first thing I did was shower and take a nap. I needed a little time to decompress after all the weekends festivities and I am finally starting to come back to life. Today we are going to check out some Napa wineries and then slowly make our way to James' family's ranch in Marin. I've never explored Napa Valley, so If you have any winery recommendations I'd love to hear them.

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty great. I spent most of it with my friends in town from the east coast. I took a few days off from the computer to really just relax and socialize with my friends. It was very refreshing. Of course now I have to catch up a little on work stuff, but it was completely worth it.

This weekend really couldn't have been better- I got to be part of a really fun photo shoot {which I'll be sharing more on later}, hang with my friend in town from New York, met some new and interesting people and even treated myself to a Thai massage. To cure the Monday blues, a few friends and I are breaking out an old tradition tonight and heading to taco night at Malo. I'm so ready to enjoy my favorite habanero salsa and chewy chips.

How was your weekend? I got to hang at my friend's pool yesterday, so i've got swimsuits on the brain. I haven't bought a new suit in three years, so I am feeling like it's time. Why hello, happy Monday to you all! How was your weekend? Mine was so much fun, I think I need a few nights spent at home to recover. The Rufus Wainwright show was wonderful. Getting to hear to songs from his first album and Poses made me feel nostalgic for the days I lived in Chicago. Music has an uncanny way of taking you back to an exact time in your life. Realizing that more than ten years have passed since those days is mind blowing to me. Do you ever feel like you've lived multiple mini lifetimes? Looking back on the last ten years I am overwhelmed by how much my life has changed, in the best of ways. Even though I still long for growth in my life and career, I am truly happy and I can't say I have always felt that way. I owe a lot of that happiness to this blog and all of you sweet readers. Happy Monday! How was your Cinco de Mayo/Derby weekend? Mine was spent mostly working, but I made sure to sneak in some fun too. James and I have been riding out bikes to brunch once a week and it has quickly become my favorite tradition. How was your holiday weekend? I loved looking through all the Easter and Passover instagrams. I had such a wonderful weekend, I'm pretty sad it's over. I spent Saturday with one of my best friends walking around downtown LA and snapping photos. Later that night James and I headed to our friend's house in Pasadena for dinner and a slumber party. It was so fun waking up in their house, it almost felt like a mini vacation.
