SWEET STYLE. MARIN WEDDING

Our weekend in Marin, although short, was exactly what I needed. The weather and the scenery couldn't have been more beautiful. The wedding was held at James' families ranch, which is a breathtaking property near Point Reyes. It was quite windy that day but the sun peaked out of the clouds just as the wedding began and warmed us up just enough. I wore one of my favorite rebecca taylor dresses and some wedges to keep me from sinking in to the dirt. James and I went over to say hi to Oliver {the horse} and snap a few photos before the reception began...

Looking through the Rebecca Taylor  spring 2011 collection I found myself wanting every single piece. Sigh. I love the 70's feel, the breezy chiffon and most of all that tomato orange which makes my heart all a-flutter. I can see myself living in these dresses come spring, at least in my dreams. Can't it be spring yet?...

I have been eying this Rebecca Taylor charcoal velvet blazer for quite some time, but the $495 price tag is a not an option. The Newport News version is not quite as luxurious, but for $45 you can't beat it. Hmm, I wonder if it looks this good in person? I do prefer the quilting on the more expensive version and the one button apposed to the three, but you could buy eleven NN jackets for the price of the RT version...

I am loving the trouser trend. Don't get me wrong, I love my blue jeans but trousers are a fun way to dress up an outfit. These look so comfy and chic and the lavender-gray color goes with everything.
