I recently put together a mix for West Elm, full of summer inspired tunes. This mix has become the soundtrack to my summer adventures, so I hope you'll go give it a listen.
Well, I had such a fun time in Santa Barbara for my friend's bachelorette. Getting out of LA for even one night was such a treat. On my way out of town I stopped at SQIRL with G&B to grab a coffee for the road, and lucky me I ran in to the lovely Anne Sage. She snapped a few photos of my latte and my favorite new shoes- check it out over on her blog.
West Elm has all kinds of new things I've got my eye on like that amazing Kasbah Rug or that Rosegold Flatware. Since I'll be moving out of my house soon I've got decorating ideas swirling around my head. I'm getting a little ahead of myself since I have yet to even find a place, but I'm trying to stay positive that the right place will pop up soon. I'm going to see a few this weekend and fingers crossed one of them will be right.
Perhaps the weather gods read my blog because since I wrote the post autumn dreaming the temperatures have cooled down tremendously. I might even need to start using a cozy throw pretty soon. Crossing my fingers.
Happy new year everyone! Have you checked out West Elm recently? There are so many new items I am loving right now. Now that there is a West Elm store so close to me, I can feel a trip coming on soon. I tend to get in a nesting mode after the holidays, which probably has something to do with the extra pounds I undoubtedly gain (did gain). I have been on a practically all vegetable diet since, but for now I am less interested in dressing myself and more interested in making my house look cute. Anyone else?
As you know, I am off to Martha's Vineyard today and I cannot wait to be there and breath in the sweet air. The Vineyard (that's what the locals call it) has some serious style when it comes to the incredible island homes. I simply adore the weathered shingled and the classic beachy look. Most homes look straight out of a Nancy Meyers Movie.
