HAPPY WEEKEND

The last few weeks have been ridiculously fun with my east coast friends being in town. Even though there's been lots of socializing, I've been really working hard to stay on top off all my work obligations and photo shoots. The week before I go on a trip I go slightly mad trying to get blog posts ready, answer emails and schedule shoots. This time I feel really organized and that has a lot to do with the sweet thing editorial calendar I started on google. Not sure why I didn't start one sooner.

Any fun plans this weekend? I have a low key dinner with friends and a maternity shoot planned, but that's about it. After all of last week's get togethers I'm in some major need of some R & R. I hope to spend some time riding my bike and reading a new book.

Happy Father's Day Weekend!

James and I are going camping in Napa one week from today. It's his best friend's birthday and we're celebrating by camping on a lake with almost forty people. To be honest, I'm not much of a camper. I'm no stranger to it, since I went to a hippie school for twelve years where camping and hiking were part of the curriculum. But I much prefer the niceties of running water, comfy beds and of course bathrooms. However, I'm very excited for this trip and I'm ready to bring out my inner outdoorswoman.

MASCULIN + FÉMININ

1/2/3/4/5/6

Mixing up the normal Masculin + Féminin post this time with some inspiring interiors. I tend to be drawn to more masculine pieces of furniture, but I love feminine accessories and accents. Do you have a particularly girly or rugged style when it comes to your home, or do you like a little of both?

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty great. I spent most of it with my friends in town from the east coast. I took a few days off from the computer to really just relax and socialize with my friends. It was very refreshing. Of course now I have to catch up a little on work stuff, but it was completely worth it.

LATELY

It's easy to get overwhelmed as a freelance photographer and graphic designer, but these last few weeks I've gotten to a place where I feel pretty organized and balanced. I can't tell you how good that feels. Don't get me wrong, I am far from having it all figured out. There are so many things I wish I was better at, like responding to emails on time or making sure we have fresh groceries in the house. I just don't have time to accomplish everything, but I'm sure getting better at it.
This weekend is shaping up to be pretty great. I have two friends in town who are both celebrating their birthdays and our plans consist of sipping cocktails and laying by their hotel pool. Not bad, eh? What are your plans for the weekend?

Happy Weekend!

I can't help it, I've got vacation on the brain. Pick a place on the map and let's drive. If you could go on a weekend road trip where would you go?

SWEET STYLE. BOYFRIEND

wearing:
alexa chung for madewell shirt
asos chiffon neck bow
forever 21 studded belt
zara boyfriend jeans
madewell bracelet {similar style}
rachel comey heels

This has pretty much been my uniform lately- boyfriend jeans, a collared shirt, loafers in the day, heels and a little lipstick at night. I had been searching for the perfect ripped boyfriend jean for a while until I saw these on Catherine of The Life Styled. When she told me they were from Zara, I went to find them the very next day and they have been on heavy rotation since.

Happy Monday! This weekend really couldn't have been better- I got to be part of a really fun photo shoot {which I'll be sharing more on later}, hang with my friend in town from New York, met some new and interesting people and even treated myself to a Thai massage. To cure the Monday blues, a few friends and I are breaking out an old tradition tonight and heading to taco night at Malo. I'm so ready to enjoy my favorite habanero salsa and chewy chips.

HAPPY WEEKEND

This is definitely going to be a happy weekend. I don't think I could be more excited actually. A very fun opportunity was presented to me and even though my stomach flipped slightly, I had to say YES! I can't wait to fill you in. Also one of my best friends Teissia is back in town from NYC. This time she's in town for two weddings she planned so she'll be here almost three weeks. I'm so looking forward to spending more time with her. There's nothing quite like having friends around who've known you for ages. How about you, any fun plans for the weekend?

SUMMER SKIN

I've been prepping my skin for the summer months by exfoliating, moisturizing and using a little self tanner and I thought I would share my routine. I have very sensitive, dry skin and most cleansers make me break out. I recently started using the Olay X-Pro Cleansing System and I'm very impressed with it. My skin feels softer and I have yet to break out once. I have also been using coconut oil to moisturize my face and body. I love that it's completely organic and free of chemicals. For my body I exfoliate with a hydro towel and then apply my favorite self tanner with a tanning mit . I like Sublime Bronze because it's inexpensive and tinted so I can make sure it goes on evenly. Do you have any summer skin secrets?

Happy Memorial Day! How will you be spending your day off? I don't have anything planned and I must say, I am pretty happy about it. I'd love to do some reading, enjoy the sunshine and perhaps have dinner on the porch.

LATELY

Happy Friday! Can you believe that Memorial Day weekend is here? It's been a pretty hectic few weeks, but thankfully things have started to slow down. The weather has been near perfect lately so to ease the pain of working on the computer all day, I've been opening all my windows and letting the outside in. I have managed to enjoy some time away from works as well. I got to spend a slightly late mother's day with my mom, go on some adventures with my boyfriend and friends and even spend the day at a friend's rooftop pool. Here is a little look into my life of late and a few of the sweet things making me smile...
