Hello my dears. Happy monday to you! Life and work have been crazy busy, which to be honest I'm thrilled about, but I'm having a hard time keeping up. I'm heading home on friday for the holidays and I have about a zillion things I need to accomplish before then. Happy Monday! This weekend I got to sneak off to the desert for one night to see Divine Fits with friends. It was a seriously incredible show, which I'm sure had something to do with being so close we we're practically on stage. It was so much fun that I'm not feeling quite ready for a new week just yet. How was your weekend my dears? Mine was quite lovely. I got to celebrate a friend's birthday and another friend's baby on the way. I have a baby shower to attend next weekend as well and I've got to say I sure love buying baby gifts. I think they're probably the most fun presents to buy, don't you? I also got a little holiday shopping out of the way. Believe it or not, I am almost finished altogether. I realize It's not even Halloween yet, but It feels so good to be ahead of the game. Especially since I have a lot of people to buy for, my boyfriend's birthday and our anniversary to think about. Do you like to get an early start on holiday gift buying or are you more of a last minute kinda person?

Finding the perfect black ankle boot has proven harder than expected. The ideal heel height and the taper of the boot are both factors in deciding on a pair. Those Rachel Comey Mars booties have been on my list for quite sometime, but the price is a little hard for me to digest. One day I'll bite the bullet, but for now I really like the simplicity and the price of those "sweeter" boots. Do you have a favorite?

I love the way rings look alone or stacked on a finger. Sadly rings are far from flattering on my chubby little hands, but that doesn't stop me from admiring them. Which is your favorite? 

How was your weekend? My short time in Ojai was really nice. The garage sale/fundraiser was a big success and it felt so good to see so many of my things get a new home and a new life. I rushed back to LA saturday to see Alt-J at the Bootleg. What a show. Their sound is so unique and I was blown away by how good they sound live. If you haven't heard them already- these guys are worth a listen.

How was your weekend? It was insanely hot here so I tried to keep cool by going to the movies and spending time at the beach. September tends to be pretty miserable in LA. It's usually our hottest month and just as the rest of you are starting to see signs of fall, we are melting. I really can't complain because once fall arrives it lasts until March and we skip winter all together.

How was your weekend? Mine was spent mostly running errands and trying to get my life organized again after being away. It was completely worth taking the week off for my birthday, but  now I'm paying for it with a major to-do list.

Happy Labor Day! So far New York has been ridiculously fun, we've eaten at many incredible restaurants, like Red Rooster, Roberta's, Prune & Lupa,  had cocktails on the roof of the Soho House & the Wythe, saw this seriously unique show, saw these two bands play {I, II} and picnicked in central park. It doen't stop there, because today we're moving to a hotel for the next two nights in Nolita. We've been staying up in Harlem, and while I love it here, it's far away from pretty much everything we want to do. 
How do you plan on spending your holiday? I'm hoping to have a pretty low-key day. I need to save up a little energy for my birthday tomorrow, right?
